Leela is a fictional character from the animated TV series Futurama, where she is the one-eyed captain of the Planet Express ship and a main protagonist. Voiced by Katey Sagal, she is a competent, strong, and level-headed woman who often acts as the conscience of the group. Initially believing herself to be an alien, she later discovers she is a mutant, abandoned by her parents for a better life.
