Dr. Thomas "Tommy" Oliver was a student at Angel Grove High School who was brainwashed by Rita Repulsa to become the Green Ranger and fought the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. After the Rangers freed him from Rita's spell, Zordon created the White Ranger powers as a replacement for the depletion of the Green Ranger's energy. Later when the team discovered the Zeo Crystal, Tommy was chosen to become Zeo Ranger V Red of the Zeo Rangers, and later the first Red Turbo Ranger of the Turbo Rangers. After he retired his powers to T.J. Johnson and graduated from college, he discovered the Dino Gems and became a teacher at Reefside High, becoming the Black Dino Ranger of the Dino Rangers.
