Clinton Francis "Clint" Barton, also known as Hawkeye (born January 7, 1971), is a main character in the Infinity Saga of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He is first appears as a minor character in Thor, then becoming one of the titular protagonists of The Avengers tetralogy, and also is a major character in Captain America: Civil War and a background character in Black Widow. Versions of him also appear in What If...?, serving as minor character in "What If... Captain Carter Were the First Avenger?", a major character in "What If... The World Lost Its Mightiest Heroes?", and one of the protagonists of "What If... Ultron Won?". Barton will return as the titular protagonist of the Disney+ series Hawkeye.
