James Allen Mangold (born December 16, 1963) is an American film director, producer and screenwriter. Noted for his versatility in tackling a range of genres, Mangold made his debut as a film director with Heavy (1995) and gained recognition for the films Cop Land (1997), Girl, Interrupted (1999), Identity (2003), Walk the Line (2005), 3:10 to Yuma (2007), and two films in the X-Men franchise with The Wolverine (2013) and Logan (2017), the latter of which earned him a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. He then directed the sports drama film Ford v Ferrari (2019), which earned him a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Picture, and directed and co-wrote Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023), the fifth and final instalment in the Indiana Jones series. For the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown (2024), Mangold was once again nominated for Academy Awards for Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay and his first nomination for Best Director. [3rd film] Now being the Middleweight Champion Of The World, Ryan and Matt keep training again and again keeping himself to the peek as as figher. Ryan has been in more and more fights in the UFC and winning a lot of them making a name for himself and giving him a good reputation as a mixed martial artist with the help of his trainer and best friend Matt. Life is going great with his girlfriend, Amelia. Their relationship has blossomed over their time together and Ryan prepares to pop the question. Meanwhile, UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Of The World, Tyrone 'Bloodshot' Cage, old former trainee of Matt's many years ago is calling out Ryan to fight in the Light Heavyweight Division (1 or 2 divisions up from where he is now). Tyrone is a powerful, aggressive and very dangerous fighter. Matt is reluctant for Ryan to take him on as he is afraid that Ryan may get badly injured or worse, Ryan begs him to reconsider as he will work his hardest to beat him. Matt reluctantlly agreed afraid of the possibility of him getting really harmed. This is Ryan's biggest fight yet. Matt gets a call from an old friend turned enemy Wayne Robertson (Matt's old training buddy and former close friend. Robertson taunts Matt.
