Mephiles was the living embodiment of darkness itself, created by the Ancients with a combination of essence from the star known as Solaris, dark cosmic powers, a hint of Black Arms DNA, and their own shadows and power to turn the tide against Chaos, who was winning the war. Lancelot was the first to encounter him, and then Mephiles morphed with Lancelot’s shadow and took his form but mouthless, and more terrifying. With his betrayal against the Ancients and destroying them and Giganto, Mephiles is the most powerful foe Chaos ever faced. But he gets even more vengeful and takes matters into his own hands when Chaos seals away Iblis.
