Dredd was the recently-elected young chief of his tribe after his father died in a battle. After Chaos saved him and his people from the flood, Dredd thought he was a god coming down to the mortal realm to be with them. But Chaos humbly said he was a living thing like him, not a dirty. Theological assumptions aside, Dredd now owes him his life and becomes a good friend to Chaos. He is the one who leads his people to fight with Chaos. In fact, he leads everyone on Mobius to fight with him!
