Amanda Waller gets arrested for illegaly starting Task Force X. But even in jail, she will be manipulating events to try to get out of jail. She needs to get out of jail to take over a secret government organization by the name of Checkmate from its leaders. By the end of the season, she takes over checkmate and employs Deathstroke, Count Vertigo, Sargeant Steel, Alton Janus, Sasha Bordeaux, and Mr. Bones. This series' main purpose is to show how powerful Amanda Waller is and to have Checkmate as a looming presence for the rest of the chapter.
