Fan Casting Akira Kogane (Deceased) in Voltron: A Legend Forged

Keith Kogane's dad and one of his inspirations to join the Galaxy Alliance, Akira Kogane had served in the Galaxy Alliance since he graduated from high school. In his service there, Akira had been able to travel across Earth but also to Mars and Saturn. He also eventually met his wife Rebecca, which led to the birth of Keith (named for his maternal great-grandfather). Akira and Rebecca both loved Keith greatly, and Akira even taught Keith karate. But when Keith turned 15, they died in a car accident. Even now, Keith keeps his parents' photo nearby and sometimes dreams of them and their guidance.
