Valerie Da Vinci is the overarching antagonist of Illumination's 8th full-length feature film, Despicable Me 3, the fourth installment in the Despicable Me franchise. She was the newly appointed director of the Anti-Villain League after Silas Ramsbottom announced his retirement. Despite her formal appointment, she isn't exactly the most well-behaved head of the organization, having to abuse her own employees while she's working with them. She's also the former boss of Felonious Gru and Lucy Wilde. She was voiced by Jenny Slate, who also played Dawn Bellwether in Zootopia, Harley Quinn in The Lego Batman Movie, Tammy Larsen in Bob's Burgers, Zoe in Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, and Mona Lisa Saperstein in Parks and Recreation.
