The company was initially an internal part of local anime distributor Odex before eventually expanding outside of it. The studio shuttered as that company shifted its business priorities away from releasing home video products. The majority of Voiceovers Unlimited's work was produced for Odex and the South East Asian market. Other projects, like those made for Bandai Entertainment and Geneon were released internationally.
