Art Baker is Isaac’s estranged father, a weathered, emotionally unavailable man drowning his grief in alcohol following the tragic death of his wife. Incapable of understanding Isaac's severe depression, Art treats his son's struggles with resentful frustration, viewing it as a personal weakness rather than an illness. Their home is a battleground of heavy silences and sudden, explosive arguments, serving as the final catalyst that drives Isaac to run away. Beneath his harsh, callous exterior, Art is a deeply broken man whose failure to confront his own trauma inadvertently pushes his son into the arms of a monster.
