The tranquility of Fairview is shattered when a young boy is viciously attacked before bedtime. The child survives, his terrified testimony describing a figure with a stark white face, lidless eyes, and a grotesquely carved smile. Detective Michael Peterson (Joseph Quinn), a devoted family man and father to twins living a seemingly idyllic life, is assigned to the horrific case. However, as the detective delves deeper into the investigation, a gruesome wave of murders targeting teenagers and young adults washes over Fairview. Each crime scene bears the same chilling hallmarks described by the sole survivor, escalating the terror beyond comprehension. The hunt becomes intensely personal, forcing Peterson to excavate the town's sinister past in a desperate attempt to understand the monstrous killer. Through a series of harrowing flashbacks, the origins of Jeff the Killer's horrifying legend are unveiled to both the detective and the audience.
