Remy LeBeau was born in the French quarter of New Orleans with red eyes, as a result of being a mutant, which led to him being abandoned at birth and raised by the local Thieves Guild. He became known as Gambit and his superpower is the ability to transfer kinetic energy into objects and cause them to combust.
