Channing Matthew Tatum (born April 26, 1980) is an American actor and producer. He made his film debut in the drama Coach Carter (2005) and had his breakthrough with the sports comedy film She's the Man (2006) and the dance film Step Up (2006). He rose to prominence for playing Duke in the action films G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009) and G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013), the title role in the comedy-drama films Magic Mike (2012), Magic Mike XXL (2015) and Magic Mike's Last Dance (2023), and an undercover cop in the action-comedy films 21 Jump Street (2012) and 22 Jump Street (2014). Tatum's other films include The Vow (2012), White House Down (2013), Foxcatcher (2014), The Hateful Eight (2015), Hail, Caesar! (2016), Logan Lucky (2017), and The Lost City (2022). He has produced several films, including the road film Dog (2022), which he also starred in and co-directed. In this X-Men storyline, the team, led by Professor Charles Xavier, mourns the death of Jean Grey. Cyclops builds the Danger Room to strengthen the team, but clashes with Wolverine, who believes Cyclops is compromised by grief. Meanwhile, Magneto reassembles the Brotherhood of Mutants with new members. Jean returns with enhanced abilities and rejects rejoining the X-Men, opting to protect mutants on her own terms.
