Charlie Thomas Cox (born 15 December 1982) is an English actor. He is known for portraying Matt Murdock / Daredevil in seven projects of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, leading the television series Daredevil (2015–2018) and Daredevil: Born Again (2025–present). Cox portrayed Owen Sleater in the second and third seasons of HBO's Boardwalk Empire (2011–2012) and Jonathan Hellyer Jones in the 2014 film The Theory of Everything. He starred in the RTÉ drama series Kin (2021–2023) and the Netflix spy miniseries Treason (2022). Cox's breakout role was as Tristan Thorn in the 2007 fantasy film Stardust, one of several roles he had in predominantly British productions during the first decade of his career. He made his West End debut the following year in a revival of the Harold Pinter plays The Lover and The Collection. Following his successes on-screen in the 2010s, he acted in a 2019 stage production of Harold Pinter's Betrayal, first in the West End and then on Broadway. He would later make his video game debut in 2025 as Gustave in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Now that the final universe is being torn apart Steve Rogers decides to reform the Avengers to stop Kang who was brought to this universe by Pandora in a last-ditch effort to kill the heroes after Doom was taken down by Spider-Man and Daredevil. Throughout the movie heroes are killed left and right and it eventually comes down to the final six Avengers left alive, Captain America of the Dc/Marvel universe, Spider-Man of the Dc/Marvel universe, Quicksilver of The Underworld Universe, Daredevil of The Underworld universe, Wolverine of the Marvel universe, and Magneto of the Marvel universe. The movie ends with the Avengers defeating Kang but unleashing even more tears in the universe. Eventually the Justice League shows up but it's too late and half of the Avengers are dead, luckily Quicksilver, Spider-Man, and Magneto survived but Kang resurrected himself into his final form. The Justice League and the last Avengers look on as Pandora covers the universe in corruption and Kang and the Anti-Moniter merge into one. In the post credts scene we see Dr. Manhattan flying towards Earth ready to kill everyone.
