God of War is an live action interpretation of the action-adventure game franchise of the same name. It was created by David Jaffe and developed by Sony's Santa Monica Studio and began in 2005 on the PlayStation 2 video game console. It has become a flagship series for PlayStation, consisting of nine installments across multiple platforms.
