She briefly plays "Lauren Garland" in past episodes of the show, but is booted when she breaks protocol in speaking to Truman and running away with him to kiss on the beach. Sylvia doesn't present much unlikable behavior. She is the only one Truman meets who tells him the truth about his life. She shows selflessness in telling him and gives up her job to do so. She is kind, cheerful, and empathetic.
