Fan Casting Shimotsuki Hiryu in Treasure Island

Shimotsuki Hiryu, also known as "Hiryu the Reaper", is one of the main characters in Treasure Island and serves as the first mate of the Straw Hat Pirates. Originally a renowned bounty hunter feared across the East Blue, Hiryu is recruited by Monkey D. Lucky to join his newly formed pirate crew. Driven by a promise he made to his late sister, Rukia, Hiryu aims to become the world’s greatest swordsman by seeking out and defeating the current titleholder, as well as Rukia's killer, Deacon Hawkeye. Hiryu encountered Hawkeye at the Baratie, where the Warlord was pursuing Lucky under orders from Vice Admiral Gary. Seizing the opportunity to pursue his goal, Hiryu challenged Hawkeye to a duel but was swiftly and severely defeated. Following his recovery, Hiryu pledged his loyalty to Lucky, vowing to stand by his side until Lucky fulfills his dream of becoming the King of the Pirates.
