Michael Benjamin Bay (born February 17, 1965) is an American film director and producer. He is best known for making big-budget, high-concept action films with fast cutting, stylistic cinematography and visuals, and extensive use of special effects, including frequent depictions of explosions. The films he has directed include Bad Boys (1995) and its sequel Bad Boys II (2003), The Rock (1996), Armageddon (1998), Pearl Harbor (2001), the first five films in the Transformers film series, 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (2016), 6 Underground (2019), and Ambulance (2022). His films have grossed over US$7.8 billion worldwide, making him one of history's most commercially successful directors. He is co-founder of the production house the Institute and co-owns Platinum Dunes, a production house that has remade horror films, including The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003), The Amityville Horror (2005), The Hitcher (2007), Friday the 13th (2009), and A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010). Even though Megatron has returned and a couple of allies have fallen, the Autobots and the Maximals, with help from the G.I. Joe have once again gained victory. But after the Decepticons retreat to Cybertron, Decepticon scientist Shockwave, who held down the fort in their absence, tells his leaders that Dark Energon was found on Earth, and so they make a plan to retrieve the Dark Energon before the Autobots discover. After retrieving a sample, Megatron resurrects a few fallen minions (Shatter, Dropkick, Scourge, Battletrap, Blitzwing, Nightbird) to outnumber the Autobots once again. It's all in attempt to please Unicron in conquering the Solar System. When the Autobots and the GI Joe finally discover Megatron's evil plan, they decide to find more allies, even if they have to MAKE some, like... Drumroll please... The DINOBOTS! This story could elements from the Generation 1 series, "The Transformers: The Movie (1986)", and the "War for Cybertron" series.
