Charles Newman, an employee Hotchkiss Gould Investments and Misato's co worker, is an comedic employee who does his best to cheer anybody up. After learning his boss Dylan is working with the Decepticons, he and Misato are taken hostage and kept as prisoners for Dylan. After he refuses to make a comedic joke for Dylan and spitting him in the face for letting the Decepticons take over, he is brutally killed when Dylan shot him multiples time with an AK-47 he furiously grabbed from his henchman, only for Dylan to express great remorse for killing Charles.
