Long before the rise of the Autobots and Decepticons, the creator god Primus forged the legendary Thirteen Primes, the first Transformers destined to protect Cybertron and maintain balance throughout the universe. Together, the Primes stand as guardians against the ruthless Quintessons and the destructive chaos of Unicron, whose return threatens all creation. However, tragedy strikes when Sentinel Prime succumbs to greed and ambition. Betraying his fellow Primes, Sentinel murders them and steals their sacred artifacts, believing their combined power will make him the ultimate ruler of Cybertron. Forming an alliance with the Quintessons and pledging his loyalty to Unicron, Sentinel prepares to unleash an age of darkness across the cosmos. Millions of years later, during the era of the Autobots and Decepticons, an ancient prophecy is uncovered. Realizing that Sentinel's actions could lead to Unicron's resurrection, sworn enemies Optimus Prime, Megatron, and their respective factions embark on a perilous quest to recover the lost artifacts of the Thirteen Primes. Their mission is to restore the Primes' power and bring them back to life before Sentinel can complete his plan. After the artifacts are reclaimed and returned to their rightful owners, the Thirteen Primes are revived. United once more, the Primes, Autobots, and Decepticons set aside their differences and stand together against Sentinel Prime, the Quintessons, and the unstoppable chaos of Unicron. In a final battle that spans worlds and dimensions, the fate of Cybertron—and the entire universe—will be decided.
