Following the events of Toy Story 4/5, a new generation of children has taken over as owners, but the toys (led by Bonnie's toys, Jessie and Buzz) are becoming increasingly overlooked in favor of screen time. Enter Kylie, a fashionable, creative, and slightly eccentric junior high student who recently moved. Unlike others, Kylie has a magical connection to her belongings, allowing her to hear and talk to her toys when she is alone in her room (Room 134).
The plot focuses on the blend of junior high drama and the toys' secret lives. Kylie uses her art/fashion skills to repair/redesign toys, helping them find new purpose. The toys, in turn, help Kylie navigate social drama, including her rival, Chloe.
