Experiment 247 first appeared in Tales to Astonish #1 and was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Experiment 247 is a common snapping turtle that was given hormone regulator serum by Dr. Parker. It was trapped behind a wall until it was freed by the natives.[19]
