Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Page began in the chorus before making his Broadway debut in The Wiz playing The Cowardly Lion. He made a large number of stage appearances but also performed as a cabaret singer with an act entitled Page by Page. Page also appeared on screen making his television debut in 1984 and film debut in 1988's Torch Song Trilogy. He appeared as the voice of Oogie Boogie in The Nightmare Before Christmas and related video games, in Dreamgirls as Max Webster and in such television programmes as Sable and Adventures in Wonderland. Page appeared in a number of roles on stage, originating the part of Ken in Ain't Misbehavin' and appearing as Old Deuteronomy in Cats on both Broadway and in the filmed production. He also originated the part of Father in Children of Eden, played The Cowardly Lion in several productions of The Wizard of Oz and appeared in Disney musicals Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid. Page also sang in his animated voice roles, performing the duet "Let's Make Music Together" in All Dogs Go to Heaven and "The Oogie Boogie Song" in The Nightmare Before Christmas.

The boy named Toof, and his meet two talking balloons named Blue and Green, went to explore from Queen Fox's castle, Monsterland, Warriorworld, and Yaktown. But Queen Fox think Toof is play strait with her so she took Toof's friends away. The only one left was his green meet balloon. Later when Toof got back to Queen Fox's castle the guard told him that Queen Fox took all the balloons in her kingdom and inflated them all in her castle. He thinks we are play strait with her so she took my friends away. The only one left was my green meet balloon. Toof is a boy who lives in a tower on the outskirts of Queen Fox's castle. He spends his days climbing trees, and exploring the world around him. One day he meets two new friends, Blue and Green, who need his help to get past all of the monsters in Monsterland. With Toof's help they enter Warriorworld, where they are tested by an evil wizard named Coin. Toof and his friends meet up with Red Ladda, who is sick but doesn't want to see Dr. Wooly. They also find some sort of miracle drink that turns out to be really important for Red Ladda's recovery. As Toof and his friends get closer to Yaktown they encounter more monsters at every turn. They have to face off against a giant in the Yak village before finally arriving at the doctor's office only to find out that Dr. Wooly has gone missing!
