Character Description

Hoffman is the screaming bulldog of the COG—a career officer who bullies terrified soldiers into battle and calls Locust "grubs." He hates Marcus for defying orders, but respects him for never running. Hoffman is a man who hides his own fear behind volume, and who sentences Marcus to forty years not out of cruelty, but duty.
