Stephen Hopkins is a Jamaican-born film director and producer. He is best-known for his continuation of the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise with A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child and the Predator franchise with Predator 2. His highest grossing film however was the 1998 film adaption of the TV series Lost in Space. He was born in Jamaica and was raised in Australia and England. He was educated at Sutton Valence School. In 2004, Hopkins directed the controversial biopic The Life and Death of Peter Sellers which raised the ire of the actor's son Michael Sellers. Hopkins was a co-executive producer for the first season of the Fox action drama 24, and also directed half of the season's episodes, including the first and last episodes.

Around 1897, qualified solicitor of Whitby England. Jonathan Harker travels to Transylvania for a business trip to meet the country's nobleman, Count Dracula. Later that night, Jonathan found something bizarre about his host. He was a creature of the night, a vampire. One night, things take a dark turn when he finds three vampiric women in one of the locked rooms to his castle, who turned out to be Dracula's wives, then Dracula made Harker his prisoner because he knew too much. Back home, Harker's fiancé, Mina was worried. She concerns her worries to her lifelong, Lucy about Harker's absence, while back in Transylvania. Jonathan Harker made his escape out of the castle and was saved by locals near the area, the same ones who warned him about the castle. Later that night, there was news of a shipwreck in London that left no survivors. Nearby, a man named Van Helsing who is a doctor, philosopher, and friend to Harker saw the aftermath. Upon further investigation, Van Helsing discovered that the crate was opened from the inside, Dracula travels to Harker's home and meets Mina and Lucy. Things take a dark turn as Dracula bites Lucy, turning her into a vampire. Helsing notices something about Lucy, something evil. It's up to Harker and Helsing to stop Dracula.
