A new enemy emerges in the form of a hyper-violent martial-artist and crime lord from Japan named The Shredder. However, this new foe seems to have some kind a horrible past involving Master Splinter, as the turtles soon find out when April is kidnapped by his goons, and Splinter's long-lost daughter is revealed to be Shredder's second-in-command. The Turtle are aided by two new allies, muscle-headed vigilante Casey Jones, and the very aggressive mutant crocodile Leather Head.
