It's confirmed that Paramount Pictures plans to release a live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie on November 17, 2028. The film will be produced by Neal H. Moritz (known for the Sonic the Hedgehog and Fast & Furious franchises) and will have a lighthearted, family-friendly, and accessible tone.
This production represents a completely separate initiative from the animated universe that began with Mutant Mayhem (whose sequel is scheduled for 2027). Following a similar strategy to the successful Sonic movies, Paramount's goal is to develop a blockbuster franchise and merchandise suitable for all ages, rather than adapting more adult and brutal storylines like The Last Ronin, which is currently shelved.
