Taron David Egerton (/ˈɛdʒərtən/ EJ-ər-tən; born 10 November 1989) is a Welsh actor and singer. After graduating from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, he performed in stage plays before gaining recognition for his starring role as a spy in the action comedy films Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014) and Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017). Egerton has starred in several biographical films, portraying military officer Edward Brittain in the drama Testament of Youth (2014), the titular ski-jumper in the sports film Eddie the Eagle (2016), and singer Elton John in the musical Rocketman (2019). The last of these earned him a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor. He also starred as Jimmy Keene in the miniseries Black Bird (2022), for which he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award, as Henk Rogers in the biopic Tetris (2023), and in the thriller film Carry-On (2024). The movie opens 1 year after Titans 8 with a new team of Titans including Tim Drake's Robin, Stephanie Brown, Barbara Gordon, Jaime Reyes, Terra Markov, Garfield Logan, Karen Breacher, and their leader Starfire. After Red X returns to Jump City, the team decides to look into who Red X actually is but each time they think they are a little bit closer they hit a dead end. Eventually Starfire narrows their identity down to either although unlikely still possible Dick Grayson or Jason Todd based on their fighting skills and weapons. Tim thinks that isn't the case since their both dead, but Starfire points out neither of their bodies were found. Soon Tim encounters Red X and the two end up fighting. During the fight Tim tries to get his identity from him but Red X remains silent throughout the whole fight. Once Red X beats Tim, he tells him that his identity will be revealed when it is needed. Tim goes back to Titans Tower and tells them he doesn't know. The movie ends with Red X meeting up with someone going by the name Red Hood.
