Karl Owens (25 May 1876-15 Apr 1912) was a steerage steward on the Titanic. Like Nick; he initially tried to help them through the early stages by waking them and leading them to the way out; once they began to get more desperate to go up, he locked them behind a gate and tried firing a gun on them. Ultimately, he holds them back too long and by the time he and the others get up; the ship is in it's final plunge.
