Spicer Paul Lovejoy (22 June 1856 - 15 April 1912) is Cal's personal valet, father figure, and an ex-pinkerton cop who was hired to be Cal's bodyguard and hitman, who does much of Cal's dirty work like helping frame Jack and chase him and Rose with a gun. Notably though; he's much more mature than Cal, less bratty and snappy than him, and has a more serious tone and knows when Cal is going too far, and he even has three kids. However; don't let that fool you. He's still a strict "no funny business" bodyguard that is the secondary antagonist of the film.
