Rose DeWitt BukKater (24 January 1896 - April 16, 1996) is the youngest of the six daughters of Ruth Calvert, and is 16 years old. Despite being in a good place in life; engaged to the ostentatious Cal Hockley, she is suicidal since she's being practically forced into it. While sailing to America aboard the R.M.S. Titanic, Rose attempts to commit suicide by jumping off the boat. However she is stopped by Jack Dawson. She then falls in love with him over the few days, and the two attempt to escape the sinking ship together.
