Riddler appears when Batman's hallucinations get worse, being one of the villains who attack Batman and hold him on trial. When on the stand, Riddler will gloat about how it seems Bruce Wayne and Batman really can't co-exist and that his crusade against crime has just brought Gotham closer to Hell, saying if he was allowed to control the minds of its citizens, none of this would be happening. As Bruce finally begins to fight back against the toxin, he'll shoot back at Riddler, telling him that what he wanted to do was take away people's will and anyone who wants that is truly lost.
