Riddler would still sell his Box Invention as a way to read the minds of Gotham's Citizens but would mainly use it as a way to try to find Batman's identity from the get-go (a bit of a mix between the Batman Forever we got and Fanscription's reimagining.) However something I want to add is his need to be the smartest person in the room, his lust for knowledge and wanting to know everything. His ending would be similar to the one we got, with the box overloading his mind, causing him to forget Batman's Identity.
