I'm gonna try to have Robin be portrayed younger in this film for it to make more sense for Bruce to adopt him, being portrayed as 15 or 16 years old. Like in the Batman Forever we actually got, Robin would be nearly consumed by anger over his parents' death, with the added bonus of him sneaking out to cause fights with regular criminals. This leads to Bruce having to re-evaluate how he acts as Batman (similar to the ending of The Batman 2022, with that movie's Batman realizing he must be more than vengeance) and in turn, Robin lets go of his anger in the end.
