Thor has been dividing his time between his ties to Asgard and Earth. While on Earth, he spends time with Jane Foster, with whom he has begun a relationship. Back in Asgard, he spends time with his old war buddies. After stopping the mutiny on the Raft with the Avengers, Thor faces criminals like the wrecking gang, Absorbing Man, and Grey Gargoyle, trying to understand where his powers come from and why he can sense Asgardian magic. At the same time, he has to go to Asgard to stop a series of senseless attacks. Unbeknownst to him, all of this is orchestrated by the sorceress Amora and her ally Skurger, the Executioner. A former ally of Loki and a former love of Thor's, she plans revenge against her ex-lover for being rejected and for the thunder god's new love being a mere mortal. So Amora targets Thor's new love, Jane Foster. While Jane and Thor must confront the reality of their relationship—that of a mortal and a god—what does the future hold for them?
