Paramount Pictures Corporation, commonly known as Paramount Pictures or simply Paramount, is an American film production and distribution company and the flagship namesake subsidiary of Paramount Skydance. Founded on May 8, 1912, it is the sixth-oldest global film studio and the second-oldest in the United States behind Universal Pictures, and it is one of the "Big Five" film studios located within the city limits of Los Angeles. In 1916, film producer Adolph Zukor put 22 actors and actresses under contract and honored each with a star on the logo. In 2014, Paramount Pictures became the first major Hollywood studio to distribute all of its films in digital form only. Workaholic wrestler, John loves his wife, Betty, and nine-year-old son, Erick, but is unable to find time for his family and often put in a bad light by his neighbor, divorcé, Bill Banner, who harbors unrequited feelings for Betty. After missing Erick's karate class graduation, John resolves to redeem himself by fulfilling Erick's Birthday wish of an action figure of Thor, despite Sue actually having asked him to buy one two weeks earlier, while John forgot about. John sets out to buy the toy, but finds that every store has sold out, and in the process develops a rivalry with DJ Harry, a postal worker father with the same ambition. at the Marvel Comics parade, John hiding inside a storage room, where he is mistaken for the actor portraying Thor Odinson and dressed in the highly technological costume. As Thor, John uses his chance to present a limited-edition action figure to Erick, but they are confronted by DJ, dressed as Thor's enemy, Loki Laufeyson. Despite John's pleas for DJ to stop, a long chase ensues, involving even a jetboot flight. DJ acquires the toy from Jonathan but is cornered by police officers, while John saves his son. John reveals himself to his family to wear his glasses and apologizes for his shortcomings. The police return the toy to Erick as DJ is arrested, but Erick decides to give the toy to DJ for his son, proclaiming his father as his true hero while the crowd from the parade carries Bob for being a hero while DJ, Betty and Erick look on and smiles.
