In the fifth chapter of the saga of Thor, the God of Thunder, in a completely new universe (after Secret Wars) the kingdom of Asgard faces a new and threatening force, led by Grog (a Egiptian God of Death) who was captured by Thor long ago. Grog, an ancient and powerful being, has now broken free from his imprisonment, thirsting for revenge against the Norse god and intent on bringing destruction to Midgard. With Midgard in danger, Thor finds himself facing an epic battle to protect both the realm of the gods, Asgard, and the realm of mortals, Midgard. Thor counts on the help of his brother Balder the Brave, one of Asgard's loyal warriors who returns to the kingdom, whose courage and combat skills prove invaluable. Furthermore, Hercules, the Greek hero, emerges as a complex figure in this plot, initially as a minor villain, but later becoming an unlikely ally in the face of Grog's threat. As the battle intensifies, Thor is challenged to levels never seen before, and his journey will lead him to confront Asgard's dark past and the consequences of his own actions. As he fights to protect Asgard, Midgard, and other realms, a war rages between the gods and Grog as the God of Thunder is tasked with fulfilling his role as Protector of Midgard and finding strength not only in his hammer Mjolnir, but also in his very essence as God of Thunder.
