"Devious" Diesel, as his name implies, is a sinister diesel shunter who originates from British Railways, and is the first diesel engine to arrive on Sodor. In the television series, Diesel eventually becomes a permanent resident of Sodor.
Lance Sterling (Gordon), a secret agent, finds himself transformed into a pigeon. He then sets out with his associate Walter (Thomas) to stop a villain who is using Sterling's disguise to carry out a dangerous plan.
