Sir Topham Hatt, otherwise known as the 'Fat Controller', is a fictional character from The Railway Series, a British children's book series written by Rev. Wilbert Awdry along with its adapted media of Thomas & Friends (aka Shining Time Station in the U.S.).
He is the director of the North Western Railway on the Island of Sodor.
