Sam Rockwell (born November 5, 1968) is an American actor. He is known for playing distressed police officer Jason Dixon in Martin McDonagh's crime drama Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017), for which he won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. The following year, he was nominated in the same category for portraying in Adam McKay's political satire Vice (2018). In 2019, he portrayed Bob Fosse in the FX biographical miniseries Fosse/Verdon, earning a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award, and in 2022, he received a Tony Award nomination for his performance in the Broadway revival of David Mamet's American Buffalo. Cyrus and Erica Xavier have been living alone in a big house deep in the woods since a traumatic experience they had a few years ago in Los Angeles, only a few delivery people and the sheriff knowing where they are. However, one evening, a group of desperate individuals knocks on their door, despite their fear, the couple understands that they are terrified and lets them in, tending to the injuries of some, while calling the sheriff. However, soon enough dark events unfold in the house and the couple realizes that whatever these people are going through, at least one of them is secretly responsible. As the sheriff could arrive too late, the couple will have to take matters into their own hands to unmask the culprit before they all end up dead !
