Serving as both a standalone story and the sequel to The Mutants, Charles Xavier's team of young mutants now known as the X-Men have expanded into two teams: Blue Team, consisting of the lineup you saw in The Mutants and Red Team, a new team of mutants. The two teams are sent on separate missions with Blue Team sent to stop mutant crime lord Mr. Sinister and Red Team sent to protect shady CEO Bolivar Trask from Magneto and a new version of the Brotherhood of Mutants, who secretly has his own evil intentions.
