1500’s South America. Conquistadors, under leadership of Carlos Antonio Maia, make their way through the Amazon forest in search of “La Laguna Negra”, the black lagoon said to hold miraculous healing properties which could save the life of the deathly ill princess Julieta de Lorenzo. Maia himself becomes obsessed with the mystical pool, believing it will grant him immortality and riches, and will stop at nothing to reach the fabled destination. As the ill-equipped party enter uncharted territories, they become aware that they are being stalked by strange presence.
