Fossil records have discovered Plesiochelys bigleri and Plesiochelys etalloni from the Kimmeridge Clay of England and outside the Swiss and French Jura Mountains.[3] A recent study[4] placed Plesiochelys as an Angolachelonia and outside Testudines.
