Tendaguria was a large, herbivorous sauropod dinosaur that lived in Africa during the Late Jurassic period, approximately 152 to 145 million years ago. Known only from a few vertebrae found in the Tendaguru region of Tanzania, it was a member of the Somphospondyli group and is distinguished by unique cavities on its vertebrae.
