Logan became disillusioned with all the bloodshed and needless violence deciding to leave the team. Logan met and fell in love with a woman named Kayla Silverfox. They were happy together until Victor came back and murdered her. Logan was desperate to get revenge so he accepted an offer from Concord to get his skeleton and claws laced with adamantium. When this process was completed Logan started his search. Concord ordered Agent Zero one of the men Logan worked with on the old task force to find and kill Logan. Logan dispatched him and interrogated Kestrel to find out where Logan was. He found out that Victor killed Kayla on Concords order. Logan tore his way through the Weapon X facility viciously killing everyone in his path including the only doctor who was nice to him Carol Hines. Logan fought Victor to the death but he was put to sleep with a sleep dart by Concord and his memory was erased. Years later Logan sat at a bar drowning his sorrows when a wheelchair bound man asked him to join a school for gifted mutants.
