Dorothy and her dog Toto are whisked away to the magical land of Oz when a cyclone passes through their grandparents' farm in Kansas. They travel towards the Emerald City to find the Wizard of Oz and on the way meet a Scarecrow who needs a brain, a Tin Man without a heart and a Cowardly Lion who wants courage. The Wizard asks the group to bring the Wicked Witch of the West's broom in order to earn her help.
