Scott Miller (Rob McElhenney) is a lovable loser. Broke, unlucky, and invisible to the world around him, he spends his days making late-night deliveries and dreaming about a life far out of reach — especially the heart of a famous, glamorous celebrity he once shared a fleeting smile with. One rainy night, Scott stumbles into a strange little shop run by the cryptic and bemused Mr. Lian (Benedict Wong), who gifts him a mysterious lamp — no charge. When Scott gets home and gives it a polish, BOOM! — out pops The Wishmaker (Ryan Reynolds): a slick, modern genie in a suit and fez, full of sass, sarcasm, and just a bit of cosmic wisdom. With three wishes on the table, Scott doesn’t hesitate. He wishes for fame, fortune, and the chance to finally win the girl of his dreams. But magic has its own sense of humor — and soon, Scott is thrust into a life he never imagined, where his problems don’t vanish… they just come with a red carpet. As Scott spirals through the chaos of celebrity life, viral fame, and fancy parties, he starts to wonder: Is this really what happiness looks like? Or was he chasing someone else’s idea of “worth”? Now, with one wish left, and the clock ticking, Scott has to decide: Would he rather be someone the world loves… or someone he can love himself?
