The Wildlife Land is an American animated television series, based on The Wildlife Land film series created by ???. It was developed for television by Ford Riley for Disney Junior and was produced by Buena Vista Animation Studios, and animated by Toon City in the Philippines. It premiered on YTV in Canada for a test on January 7, 2011 and premiered on Disney Channel in the United States on March 7, 2011. It was made as traditionally animated with computer-animated backgrounds, which the past sequels from The Wildlife Land X: The Great Mammal Migration onwards have used, with occasional cel-shaded computer animated characters in wide shots. The main antagonists in the series are Shetani, an evil villainous Masai lion, and Gome and Ondoa, two henchmen Striped hyenas. The TV series takes place after the events of The Wildlife Land XIII: The Wisdom of Friends, due to Calvin and Jane being absent in that film.
