Fan Casting Lori Grimes in The Walking Dead rewrite - Season 1

Before the apocalypse Lori were a stay at home mom/wife, feeling tired and lack of her own personality. She loves Carl dearly but feels like she's nothing more than a mother and wife to Rick. Shortly before the outbreak she wanted to file for divorce, feeling a lack of independency(she was very codependent of Rick) and wanted to be someone again, gain more personal purpose in life while still working to raise Carl. Wanting to file for divorce while Rick's in a come left her feeling guilty of abandoning him in his darkest days. When the outbreak Shane arrived to her house to support her and Carl, they went to her parents house, finding them dead... With nowhere to go they headed towards Atlanta in hopes of finding a safe place they ultimately found the city to be deserted and overrun, over everything, the loss of her parents and thinking she would never se Rick again Lori had a moment with Shane, sparking an interest that would linger for a long time. Eventually finding the Atlanta camp that Shane believed could exist she, with Carl and Shane ''moved'' into the camp introducing herself. With time she got to knew the ''main'' survivors and with help from some of them started to understand herself more and realize with the outbreak(how tragic it actually was) that a life independent from Rick and no money issues she could be free, but still bound to Carl. She thought for certain that Rick was dead, she slept with Shane, bonding over the grief of society and everything they knew, with the hopes that all would be well in the end. Due to the outbreak she could not get legally divorced but questioning if it even mattered since she thought society and the government would be doomed. The love and relationship she and Rich once shared seemed to be over in the show but at the same time it wasn't clear. I know I write much about her relationship with Rick and that's because majority of her story is exactly about that, which I want to change, that it's more of a mix.
